Biography

Delilah Vinzon is a Partner in Liner's Litigation Group.

Delilah's practice encompasses litigation in federal and state court, including complex commercial litigation involving corporate and securities law, financial restructuring, and intellectual property.  She has represented financial institutions as well as individual directors and officers in a variety of matters including securities class actions, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, adversary proceedings for fraudulent transfers, and confirmation disputes in bankruptcy proceedings.  Delilah has worked on matters through early and late settlement, mediation, summary judgment, jury and judge trial verdicts, and appeals.

Representations
  • Represented a music performing rights organization in a complex, multi-party jury trial related to the right to music royalties for the music of Sylvester Stewart, known as “Sly Stone” of Sly and the Family Stone  
  • Served as litigation counsel to domestic and international clients in various types of proceedings under the Bankruptcy Code, including Chapter 9, voluntary and involuntary proceedings under Chapter 11, and various aspects of foreign ancillary proceedings under Chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code
  • Successfully argued before the California Supreme Court on issues of statutory interpretation on a certified question from the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
  • Advised various clients including large corporations, financial advisors, and financial institutions on investigations by FINRA and the SEC
  • Handled trademark infringement disputes, including cease and desist letters and preliminary injunctions, related to marks owned by mixed-martial arts and smartphone companies
  • Defended a founder and Chief Executive Officer of a technology company in a four-week securities class-action jury trial related to issues of fraudulent accounting
